Documentation
Written for somebody who does not have Kaisin yet, or installed it this week. The panel carries its own copy of the operating guides under Documentation, matched to the version running and readable on a cluster with no way out to the internet.
Start here
- Install — an empty server to a working platform. Budget half an hour.
- Decide how traffic reaches it — before installing, not after. It is the step that catches people out.
- The command line —
brew install bluepawlabs/kaisin/kaisin.
Deploying
- Deploy something — the GitHub App, a repository, a hostname.
- Preview environments — an environment per pull request.
- Deployments on the pull request — where it is running, said on GitHub.
- Building in your own CI — GitHub Actions builds, Kaisin deploys.
- Object storage — S3-compatible, on a volume you own.
Domains and networking
- Letting Kaisin manage DNS — records, zones and routes through Cloudflare.
- Cloudflare Tunnel — a cluster at home, behind CGNAT, or on a private address.
- Networking — the map of what reaches what, and isolation.
The cluster
- Importing a cluster — what already runs there, taken on where it stands.
- More than one cluster — build here, run production there.
Agents
- Agents — Claude Code, Claude and anything that speaks MCP, doing what you can do.
Operating
- Operating Kaisin — permissions, upgrades, backups, a lost password.
- Things that actually go wrong
- Upgrading and uninstalling
